"SHould I ask my FI to get a part time job? Would that be rude?"

Sugar, this is not your problem alone...it is his wedding ceremony also. Make sure this marriage is a TOTAL partnership from the beginning here. Put the figures in front of him, and ask him what is he going to do to help get this paid for. He must have seen you struggling with the BK, right? So have you fallen into the pattern of being the money manager? My late hubbie was a wonderful caring guy, but not a detail person, so I handled most of the $ stuff (thank heavens for duplicate checks in the check book or I would always have been overdrawn!) But I asked him each week to sit down with me and go over that week's expenses so we could get through grad school and our early starting a family days as a financial team. Ask him if there is a toy or two he would consider selling if he wants to avoid a temporary part time job. Or make HIM responsible for asking his parents for a little extra to get that hall paid for. Good luck, and we're all wishing you well.

It will all work out. Once you talk to your future hubby about selling a toy or working for some extra cash to avoid charging, I'm sure he'll come through for you.
