Does my situation make me harder to go after?

I transport trucks for a living throughout the USA and Canada so I am gone most of the time. I am sometimes away a month or even more and nothing real predictable about my schedule. When I am home I live in California.

I am classified as an Independent Contractor. This means I am considered self-employed for tax purposes. Instead of a W-2 and taxes being withheld from my pay I need to do estimated taxes. Does that mean my pay is not garnishable?

The company I deal with most is headquartered in Canada and the people I deal with are all in Canada. Will that fact provide any protection if a judgment is ever entered against me.

My chequing and savings accounts have very low balances so very little can be taken from those. I have Roth IRA with two different institutions. I do not own the house I live in (I live with a relative) and my car, a 1997 Chevy Cavalier has no doubt depreciated considerably.

Unless you are able to change your Social Security Number, you can easily be found.

A levy for maybe 10 or 20$ which would not be cost-effective for the judgment creditor if things went that far. If there was a bank levy does the levy only cover what is in the account at the time? Or does the levy make the bank account frozen until the judgment is satisfied? And is there any limit on the frequency that a bank account can be levied on?

I do have a way to get access to pay to live on without bank account but I don't want to make that public in case there are debt collectors lurking on this site.
