How to refinance your home after Chap 7

Hello all, I was able to keep my home in Chap 7...discharged last Aug. My rate is in the mid 6s and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to refi with a Chap 7 on ones credit report. Are there any gov't programs out there? My loan to value is very, very tight. The last time I tried to refi (well before BK) I couldn't get approved mainly because of the appraisal. Any tips would be helpful.

You need 2 years from discharge.

You should attempt a modification through the lender. Whether it's HAMP/HARP/SOME ACRONYM or an internal modification, you should see if you can get far with that. Your payments should not be more than 30-33% of your gross income.
      Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
