    Mortgage refinance after 13 discharge

I was just discharged and turned down at several lenders for a refi on my home. I currently have a have 7.5% rate. Has any one been able to refinance right after a chapter 13 discharge?

You will likely need to wait until 2 years after discharge. It is actually better and easier to refinance while in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy (while it is still active)! Now that you are outside the bankruptcy, the normal rules apply. You may be able to try the FHA Back to Work program if you have a contributing circumstance which caused your bankruptcy. You will still need to satisfy other loan requirements (score, payment history, etc).
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
