My bankruptcy has been completed, just waiting for final decree. We have been putting off home repairs badly needed for years because...money/debt/bankruptcy. We will try to save up as much as we can, but it will be a large loan. How long could it be before I qualify for one?

You're probably qualified for one now, but the interest rate won't be great. If you can hold off another 18 months or so until your Chapter 13 falls off your records, your credit scores will pop 100-points or more, and your rates will be much better.
