      I have many....

First and foremost, my MOTHER IN LAW.

When I think back to everything I charged over the years, I feel guilty. Sometimes I'll look at something in the house and think "I didn't pay for that".

I feel guilty over my furniture and my vacation....both done close to filing.

US Bank and my mother in law are two of my favs.

If successful, discharging a malicious lawsuit against us by a looneytune who has also APed this bankruptcy. In any case, when the lawyer told us all lawsuits would be tolled, we literally said "what? The suits will stop?" We both burst out in tears. The lawyer said, "well I thought that is why you are here?" In tears we said, no, we got no money, that's why we are here. This is wonderful news." Now the a$$h*le is fighting the bk.
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Ok that is my husbands above, mine is Earthlink.

I have paid them the "final balance" 5 times now. I am not kidding. They keep adding more to it and I haven't had service with them in 8 months. Give me a break, this has to be illegal. The balance is always just 35 bucks but it NEVER goes away.

Mine is American Express. After getting my credit pretty high I got an American Express Platinum Charge card. I figured this would be good to not tempt me to carry a balance. For months I racked up $10-15k a month consistently and paid the balances in FULL. I then got a letter saying due to my good standing with them if I ever needed to extend a balance over time I would just need to call. A couple more months go buy and a bad business deal stuck me with a fat bill of $18k I only had $5-6k to pay. I ended up calling them trying to arrange payments since they suggested it. And their best offer was $2,500 payments every two weeks!!! Who would agree to that? I tried several times to get to a decent plan even if it was $1,000 a month they didn't want to bite. But since I already made the $5k payment I still had a balance of $13k. Which after months of non-payment I kept getting $490.00 per month interest tacked on which eventually brought the balance back up to $18k again and I was so enraged that it could have been avoided had they worked out a decent payment plan like I suggested and instead in the long run they got a boot in the ass from my BK. Good Riddance.

Mine was Chase, had a mortgage with them and they said they couldn't help me because I was current on payments, so I missed 1 and called them back and they said they couldn't help me because I was late on a payment?!? GE personal line of credit. After paying for nearly 3 years over $250/month my balance was the same as the original loan.

I think I feel best about my credit union.... such bastards they were to me. First off, people always say get a credit union its awsome! Well, never again will I have one... they were asses from the beginning. First, when I applied for loans they were SO STRICT on the credit score. I wanted them to refi my car loan once and my score was 1 point away from their qualifying and they wouldn't just let it go through. 1 stupid point! Then, eventually I finally got a car loan with them and I got a letter saying my deductible was too high... I called them and I'm like why do I need to lower my deductible? And they said "Cause your credit score does not support a lower deductible" ... who the hell do they think they are dictating to me what my deductible is based on my credit score? That's just insane.

Ultimately, last year, they had my second mortgage, my car loan and a small credit card. When things got tough for me... the refused to help me. I even got yelled at by the manager giving me the whole guilt trip on "you incurred the debt and signed the papers now live up to your promise"... I paid off the car loan and continued to borrow money elsewhere to keep paying them.

Then when I got laid off this year and had to move back to the US, I sent them a hardship letter.... which they completely ignored! I called up the collections department girl and she said oh yea I read that letter but I put it on my boss's desk... I assumed he contacted you about it. I was literally in tears with her on the phone because I was at the end of my rope and didn't know what to do. She finally said she would send me a hardship package and they would "evaluate" it. A few days later I consulted with my attorney and it gave me great pride and satisfaction to call her up and leave a nice voicemail saying nevermind, I'm filing and if wish to discuss call my lawyer!!

Haven't heard from them since... was odd though, before they locked me out of my online access they lowered the interest rate on my second mortgage...can't figure out why they would do that after I filed... oh well.

Mine's Wells Fargo, because they are the Devil.

When we were trying to buy a house (back when my wife had her career and a good credit score) we went to them for financing. It took months for them to "push things through," with constant delays and excuses. Twice they decided they needed more money down, and we scrambled to gather it up. Daily harassment was the only thing that kept them working on it at all. When they finally came through, the loan was for 20 years instead of 30 and at 7.125% plus loan insurance, making our payments over $1000/month on a $110k loan (minus our down payment). At that point we were desperate, and could still manage it... so agreed.

Less than a year later, my wife had a 24w preemie (who stayed in the hospital for half a year), lost her career, and my hours were cut down. While everything else suffered and we lived off credit cards, we made sure never to miss a single payment on the house. When we finally had to file BK, we did it initially with the goal of keeping our home. Throughout the whole filing process and 341, we somehow kept every payment on time. Then we realized that we couldn't keep it up; it was just too much.

I called them up, asking what they could do as far as restructuring our loan. A bored-sounding male was short with me, refusing to discuss anything until I proved I'd paid this month (which I had about 15 minutes previously) even though it wasn't due yet. Finally he rattled off the "options" they had... but warned me the wait would be over two months, since everyone was applying. The "options" turned out to be absolutely useless. They are all based on having missed payments, and either rolling them into your loan or begging to have them forgiven. The very fact that we had made them our highest priority made us their lowest.

Still trying to figure out what to do, I researched online and found Obama's Making Home Affordable deal for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. I was excited to find out that we qualified in every way- perhaps just changing our loan terms would let us keep it! So I called Wells Fargo again, specifically asking about the program. Within two minutes, the rep told me No. Why, I asked? I'd checked, and we do in fact qualify... Because you have mortgage insurance. Seriously? Yeah. See, they have no reason to help us get into this program even though we qualify, because if we default they aren't out anything. So screw us.

My last phone call to them a month back was a hail-mary. I flat-out told them that the home was included in our Ch7 BK, and if they couldn't do anything for us, we would walk away from it. They told me not to bother applying for anything, it would take too long (now saying 90 days), and to wait until the BK was discharged. Then we could try speaking to the bankruptcy department, and see if they want to work anything out with us. But there was no one who could speak with me currently, and not to expect too much. There's no way they could refinance us.

We've now been discharged, and next week is the first time we're not paying our mortgage. We're getting an apartment (which is newer, bigger, and less than $600 per month, including cable tv and internet) and Wells Fargo can shove it. Everything we've done the past two years has been for them, and they just plain don't care. So why should we? This is a perfect example of where they could have easily kept their customer faithfully paying, but decided not to be human. I can't possibly feel bad for such a mindless, soulless corporation.

GE Money wins hands down. Over a year before we filed bk we received a letter from GE Money saying they were changing the terms of our loan. Our interest rate was being increased and it would just be tacked on to the end of the loan in the form of extra payments. At the time we had never been late and had a FICO score over 800. It was just pure greed on GE's part to squeeze extra profits out of the loan because they could.

With GE Money's very first collection call they informed me- "We do not work with any debt consolidation plan. We expect full payment of your entire balance". So I cheerfully informed them that I had no intention of using a debt consolidation plan which I didn't. Their reps were nasty and their collection tactics were offensive. I did learn to tape their telephone calls and notify them they were being taped. This caused GE Money reps to promptly hang up and quit calling. (A tip here for anyone about to endure collection calls from GE Money.) My only regret is we didn't owe GE Money more when they had to write the loan off.

Chase is the devil. They rate jacked me then raised the minimums in a very short time. Of course all the other cards they took into their system like Bank One and Wamu did the same. They can eat my dust
