I filed 2/27/07 and it was discharged in June of 2007. So about 3 months total. Do not apply for anything until you get your discharge.

I was able to get a JC Penney and Walmart Card about a month after discharge. They are both backed by GE Money bank. I did not bk any store cards, but GE seems to be bk friendly -
