    Anyone use Ovation Credit Repair?

I'm way, way too busy to deal with this credit repair thing. I'm in a new job managing 36 people in an engineering lab, I'm working towards a MBA in the evenings and weekends, and my wife hasn't a clue on what to do nor does she want to (can't say i blame her ). So, I have to have help repairing my credit. I found Ovation, http://www.ovationcredit.com/?gclid=...FQQtGgod-VY2Qw Much like Lexington. Any word on this place?

A few months back I put a posting in the Bankruptcy News main thread in this forum listing an article on how these businesses are run and how they "clean up" your credit. Many of these repair places infiltrate credit, financial and BK forums with "posters" who state how happy they are with the service trying to get people to bite. As to any service, search the internet on the ripoff websites and check with the BBB. It all comes down to that it's your money and you can spend it as you wish. I suggest looking in the BK and Credit News section of this forum for my article posting. It was about 2 or 3 months ago.

I understand they flood the bureaus, but there are legitamite items that need repair and I just don't have the time to follow through. I'm lucky to even be on here this weekend posting.

I understand busy schedules...I have worked on doing our credit reports during lunch time through the week at work when I can actually get a lunch hour! However, it really doesn't take that much time to do it yourself and for what they charge I don't think it's worth it...but then again, it's your money and your decision. You will get all sorts of pros and cons on the matter but it is you who has to make the decision...best of luck to you!

Well,, I know this is going to sound harsh, but you could be writing dispute letters right now... After all, you can sign up and view your reports online to see what needs to be fixed. There are sample dispute letters all over the internet, just cut and paste and change the info you need to. Then you send the letters off, and follow up what needs to be followed up next time you have an afternoon to burn in front of the computer. You do know that even if they get your bk off your file, it will more than likely just show up again sometime in the future?

First, what makes you think you don't have time to do your own credit reports...if you have time to post on here, you have time to do that. The thing is, as with any priority in one's life, you make the time. It takes 5 minutes online to request all three of your credit reports for free. I don't dispute online, I get hard copies in the mail. While you are having your morning coffee you can glean through each report and find any discrepancies. Get a sample dispute letter off this site or anywhere on the internet. Instead of viewing the news you can do that. Fill in the letter with your disputes from the report and attach any supporting documentation they may need (i.e., BK discharge) which you would probably have to send to a disputing agency anyway and pay for their services for them to send it to the CRAs. Also, the disputing agencies do not provide your credit reports - you have to get them and send them to them. It will take about 30 or so days to get your revised reports back so you have lots of time to review them and see if all was revised to your satisfaction. Now, that saved you $75 in a sign up fee and $35 plus per month thereafter for something that maybe took you less than 1/2 hour total.

Everyone is busy who works but we all get it done eventually. However, you are the person who handles your own life and knows your own capabilities and situations.
