Wamu to Chase

In todays mail I was surprised to find a new Chase Visa card to replace my WAMU. I had 2 years left on the WAMU card but it was replaced with a new Chase with the same account number.

I guess we all worried for nothing. If they where going to close our accounts from WAMU they would have done that without sending out a new card

What about the expiration date?
So far on this forum, people only got 1 more year for their new chase card.

They gave me exactly 2 years longer then my expiration date on my WAMU card. I just checked online and the credit line is still the same $7,000.

All should be fine with former WAMU card holders who obtained their card after discharge and are handling their credit wisely and pristinely with that account. If you start missing payments or not making payments, with a BK on your record you can probably kiss it goodbye. Chase is not BK friendly so don't draw attention to yourself while the BK is on your credit reports. But remember, a creditor can cancel your account at any time for any reason (read the fine print on your cardholder agreement).

I Bk'd Chase and they sent me a new card.

I just realized that this is a new Debit Card for a checking account I had with WAMU but I don't use.
