Nordstrom Dept. store card and FICO score?

Last Aug/Sept. (08) I defaulted on all my major credit cards (VISAs & MCs), but didn't owe on my Nordstrom Dept. Store card and so the account has remained open.

The Nordstrom Card has a $3,500 limit and I just began using it again. Is this card helpful in restoring my credit? (I'm charging around $20 a month on it to keep it active.)

Right now I am shopping around for a secured VISA/MC to for sure rebuild credit, but like that my Nordstrom card is already set up.

I'm surprised that the card made it through the bk. None of ours made it.

It appears from your past postings you have not filed bankruptcy. When and if you do, the chances of any zero balance credit card making it through are very slim and those that do eventually get cancelled out if not sooner than later. If your credit is bad now and whatever bank holds the Nordstram account decides to check your credit report, they could close it or reduce your limit way down. One open account in a sea of bad debt is not the answer to rebuilding your credit. If you defaulted on all your other cards, that will sit on your credit reports for seven years along with one open account which may or may not make it. You may get lucky and it stays open but the majority of folks find they all eventually get closed out.
