Paid collections not included in Bankruptcy

Okay I'm sure someone may have touched on this subject before. It's been quite sometime since I've been on this site and now I am still just tryining to clean up anything that can be removed or updated or disputed off my credit report.
There is one account that shows paid collections on all 3 of my credit report. This is the only thing that is showing adverse, outside of my accounts that were included in bankruptcy. This account should have been included in bankruptcy but it was not. I do show that this was included as a bankruptcy account.
The only thing I recalled was when I contacted the creditor to advise him that I am filing this through bankruptcy he told me no problem and I heard him type away and we disconnected. The account was never paid at all! I'm not really complaining but when I tried to dispute this the first time, it shows that there is a 0.00 balance and that I've paid the balance off that same month I spoke with that represenative. The account is scheduled to be removed in 2012.
I"m not sure if I should even dispute it to have them validate that I've paid this account and request deletion or if I should leave the account alone and let it fall off in 2 years or should I dispute that this account should have been included in my bankruptcy?

    Any advise is appriciated

one would think if it was not listed on the BK, then of course, it was not removed from the report.

however, more than likely, the account was charged off by the company as a bad debt or non collectable debt...therefore it will stay on.

you can dispute the charge with the reporting agency...requesting the creditor to present you with proof of the bill, where and when...etc....if that creditor does not respond back to the agency with the legal time frame, according to the The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)...it must be removed from your report.

You could probably dispute it off your CC. Although the paid entry and zero balance are not really all that bad, since the account is inaccurate, if you are willing to put in the leg work, you could dispute it and get it completely off your credit report.

Would it be better to dispute the inaccuracy of the account not being paid or should I dispute that it should have been included in Bankruptcy or both?
It was included and I have paperwork, and I've never paid on the account which they would have to verify that I've actually paid the account.

You just dispute that it is inaccurate and should be removed from the credit report, you don't actually need to give a reason (at least, not at the initial stages of disputing)
