Wondering if this is reporting correctly

I had an old small debt to Insight Communications(cable company) that I didn't even know existed until I filed and had to prepare my schedule of debts for the attorney.

Anyway, on my credit report it is listed as an active collection, but also as IIB and discharged. Obviously, before my BK I had many collections accounts and now this Insight Communications debt is the only debt in the 'collections' tab for my credit report at MyFico. It shouldn't be listed as in collections and IIB simultaneously, right? Those are mutually exclusive?

as long as it is listed as IIB, you should be fine. it will drop off shortly, if not contact the reporting agency in writing and that will do it.

thanks tobee. I just double checked and it's listed with a $0 balance so it's probably fine. I'm waiting another month or so to pull all 3 of my free annual reports to go over them very closely and make sure everything is accurate. I figure ~60 days gives all of the accounts plenty of time to begin reporting correctly.

you're most welcome. however, i must warn you, the report may change! so, do not be surprised for the first couple of months that the reporting is a bit messed up.
