Hehe, congrats. And the cards are very easy to get limit increases with as well... I think the first one can be 6 months after opening and then I do mine every 3 months or so.

I'm in shock! One worked for me - Victoria's Secret. I have no use for it as I haven't been 'angel' material for about 15-20 years, but at least I feel like I'm rebuilding, instead of a total loser! Maybe it's good that I wasn't approved for something I would actually be tempted to use.

Right, you can only fight it if it says it happened after your filing date. Anything that legitimately happened before you filed is valid.

yes, but i think i can fight it, because it was included in the bk...but i think what you're saying is if it happened AFTER our filing they couldn't put it on there? right?

funny thing it also shows all the payments were on time LOL!! not one late payment just 3 years of perfect and then the VS.

on the trade line it just had VS and then in the legend it had that VS stood for voluntary surrender. we turned the car in almost 10 months prior to our filing, but listed it on the petition in case there was any deficiency after the car was auctioned off. i just checked how they have it listed and it doesn't say IIB actually.

really, what i found cool, was really the only out of place item was the bk. other than that , we look great LOL!!! even the ones IIB were all paid as agreed. OH! a voluntary surrender on one of our cars. (we kept the paid off one and turned the other one in). the credit union at the time said that was a first for them. but we had had a great relationship for over 30 years never late. they were really great about it, but have to report it as it was.

they say there is no difference between a voluntary surrender or a re po...well, then why do that have separate categories then. like you giving it back is "nicer" than them having to come get it forcefully. i would like that counts for a cent LOL!

    lol!!! never.

funny, i pulled all three reports each were about 30 pages, not one late payment on anything in 40 years except our mortgage. i paid our cc's up until the last minutes so they couldn't report past due. cool, no judgement, liens ....the bk looks out of place.

all three of them listed at least 5 pages of "good" credit and one paragraph about the bk information. also a listed accounts IIB, but said they would be dropping off in 14, 15, and 16...???? i thought they would stay on until the bk dropped?

This has finally worked for me. I was at Brylane Home and did the shopping cart trick Pre approval screen popped up. Only a $250 limit but I will take it.

amy, that seems to be the story of our lives! it the bell curve goes that way, i always somehow find it goes the exact opposite for me

i had to do my address, if i remember correctly, phone number and the last 4 digits of my ss and i can't remember what else. but apparently, it was credit karma who notified me of the hard inquiry.
