how to dress for the 341?

    #2
From what I've read and my attorney's comments, dress business casual.
    Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10
AHEM.....NOT AN ATTORNEY, NOT ADVICE, ETC, ETC

I went to mine the other day. I wore a cotton Gap skirt with a cotton shirt and flip flops. I looked around and everyone else seemed to be casual attire..Khaki pant and button up shirts for guys.

We dressed business casual. A few people were dressed in graphic tees, shorts or jenas and flip flops and to be honest, they stuck out. A safe way to go is to show respect for the proceeding and trustee and dress business casual. Our trustee was wearing a suit as were the attorneys.

take this from a suit and tie to the grocery store type of person...........dress casual, but respectful. do not wear a suit.....do not wear the dress that was marked down from 500.00 to 50.00....be casual....

this is the truth...i had to sell almost all my clothes anyway....so i wore something simple....yet respectful. a polo shirt and clean jeans.

I was the only one who showed up to my 341 in a dress. Just a business dress. Nothing fancy. Everybody else was wearing jeans & t-shirts or sweats. Go figure.

                Ok, I have to ask.
                What is business casual?

Not that it matters, since all I own are T-shirts and jeans.
But I am curious as I keep hearing the phrase.

I'll be going to my meeting Friday straight from work at the factory.
                7/01/10 - filed!
                11/20/10 - discharged and closed

Business casual=slacks & button down shirt.

And good luck this Friday, may it go smooth!

well, i know when i worked for a large corp....and it was "dress" down friday...the guys wore polo shirts with khakis....and the woman wore a nice pair of jeans with a top and maybe a sweater.

no cleavage!....doesn't help....one lady looked disgusting....i guess because she had a male trustee she thought that would help???

I almost think people read too much into this. Everyone in our meeting was very casual. Our attorney just recommended no "flashy" jewelry. I seen everything in there from sweats to a couple of suits. It moves so fast.....I don't think the trustee gives a hoot what you wear.

Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.
