My BK was discharged about 4onths ago. I just got a letter for a law firm that I owed Discover money, this was settled in my BK. I called the numbee but they wanted my SS number. I didn't give to them ams told them I would contact my lawyer. I really don't wamt to conyact her. What do I do?

Find some verbiage on the Internet, write them a letter telling them they are harassing you and if they continue they will hear from you atty. good luck!Discharge date: October 2017 (will it ever get here?)

Send the lawyer who sent the letter a copy of your discharge order with a letter telling them the debt was discharged in BK and that further attempts to collect will result in you filing a complaint for violation of the court's injunction against collection. Send it certified mail with return receipt and keep copies of every thing. You are right to not give your SSN.

Doesn't the attorney for the discharged debts receive notices like;
Notice of filing with deadline to file a claim.
Notice of intent to discharge with a deadline to approach the court with a disagreement.
Also if they were paid anything during the CH13 they knew what they were in for.
So why send a warning? Why not file for the deliberate violation? Is the cost prohibitive? Is it a simple form?
