    My car payment is with Ally. I pay it outside the plan. It's been a hassle to pay because you either have to mail it or do it online via a third party and pay an extra fee. Several weeks ago I got an email from Ally about their privacy policy or something like that and something about their website. The first emails since we had since we filed for BK 13.

    Today I got a billing statement from them. Haven't got one of those since filing either.

    I went on the website, had to request my username and password since it's been 2 yrs. When I logged on there was a BK disclaimer which basically said that I could use the website to pay, they could take away my access to the website at anytime, and it clearly stated info about BK and it was VOLUNTARY to use the website. They made it pretty clear they are not trying to collect on the debt.

    I think this is great because I didn't expect at the time of filing that I would loose access to paying my car payment online or even getting a billing statement with an option to mail a payment. I didn't expect to not have access to online banking for my mortgage which had been re-instated a while ago, but no disclaimer then again it's not like a bill it's just info for the account and you have the option to transfer funds.

    Both the mortgage and car payments with online access really make life a lot easier!
