If you have property and a plan that is complicated -- because even an attorney can't get it right -- please don't do this Pro Se. I would say this since you are also near the end.

The issue is likely a disagreement between the Trustee and your attorney. Your attorney is likely trying to make sure you don't pay more than you want. The key for you is to sit down with your attorney for 30-60 minutes to see what the Trustee doesn't like. Needs to be very specific and why the attorney doesn't believe you should pay. Bankruptcy hearings are continued especially where two side in a Chapter 13 don't agree. The court would rather have a joint agreement than an evidentiary hearing (mini trial).

If you're okay with paying the amount the Trustee wants, then just tell your attorney to pay them what the Trustee wants.

If the attorney works for a firm with more than 2 attorneys, ask to have it reviewed by another attorney. Please know that attorneys don't prepare all the paperwork. Some of it is done by paralegals and legal assistants. Mistakes do happen and are easily corrected. You'll need to ask your attorney specifically if they are trying to meet the Trustee's number or that the attorney doesn't believe the Trustee's numbers are accurate and that was why they proposed a smaller amount.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
