Lien Question

Hello everyone! It is me again. I haven't been here for quite a while.

Life and things.

Maybe someone could help me find answers since our BK lawyer does not seem to be bothered.

We received a "notice of lien release" from our HOA's lawyer. The issue for me is not them issuing a release, it is the date they filed the lien.

NDC was showing that HOA has been paid (cleared all) December of 2020. HOA filed lien March 2021.

Is that even legal? If the trustee paid them before such date? We have been paying ur HOA religiously after filing BK.

Can't tell you for sure as it depends on whether the lien could have been filed before you filed bankruptcy. HOA liens are special anyhow as they are statutory in most States -- I know they are in Florida -- and the filing is only a notice.
