    Registry Fund = Refund?

What does it mean when a claim changes from a normal creditor name to "registry fund"? The claim is NextCard, who went out of business. The only 3 payments ever sent thru the plan were cancelled by the trustee.

Also, I recently sent in my final payment and my file is now in the closing dept. Will I get the money back that was paid for this claim? If so, how long does it take to get refunds at the end of a ch 13?

At the end of Ch 13 the trustee has to balance the books with all the creditors that filed claims and have been paid throughout the plan - this can take several months. You probably won't know if you will get the money back until then. Your lawyer should know how long verifying the books with creditors after Ch 13 typically takes in your district. Congratulations and a big pat on the back for making it through your Ch 13 plan successfully!!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
