    Will it ever get better?????

    Hi everyone,

Just having one of those days, I guess. Things continue to be unbelievably tight around my house and everyone's nerves are shot. We have no money for things like clothes, haircuts, etc. My husband cuts his own hair as does our son. Unfortunately I have the type of hair that is not easy to cut and I have to go to work. It isn't as if I can wear a bag over my head or anything My daughter doesn't get hers cut that often either as hers is long. I really, really need a suit for my job, but right now there is no way.

Some days I don't know if we should get rid of the house and the huge mortgage or not or just try to hang in there and save it. Our lawyer isn't really any help. He keeps telling us how "simple" it is to just let the house go. Maybe for him, but not us. Our son will be a senior next year so moving out of the school district really isn't an option.

Sorry to ramble, just frustrated. And when we are all upset over money, we start nitpicking each other's spending habits. We had to buy tires last week and I'm having some tests run tomorrow.

    Thanks for listening.

    I completely understand, Jane.

We managed to stay put to let our son graduate from High School. I was glad for that.

I thought the girls would do fine moving between their sophomore and junior years of HS. Turns out that was not the case. They are both scarred by not being able to finish where they began.

Partly, it's leaving friends behind. Partly, it's trying to work into social circles in the new school that were set 10-11 years ago in Kindergarten.

Our girls have not had the "Glory" year a Senior should enjoy. That last, fun-filled time of youth. Where they kick up their heels and enjoy being the top dogs in the bone pile.

One had enough, called it quits, and Graduated mid term in December. She couldn't get out of there quick enough.

The other went with the "Early College" program offered thru the HS. She's not even been to anything HS related all school year. Has no intention of walking at Graduation later this month. This is not her class and she could care less.

    I wonder the same thing.

    Will it ever get better??!!

I understand too and I haven't even gotten started yet. Just the pain this has caused our kids so far has broken my heart. My son will be going into 10th grade. We had moved 4 times in 4 years prior to moving here 4 years ago. We promised him we wouldn't move again until he graduated. We had to move out of our home leaving his neighborhood friends and it has hurt him. Seems to be bouncing back.

I don't know what's going to happen or how but I have to believe that YES it will get better. It will. I'll be thinking and praying for you and your family.

Sooner or later things have got to get better. 24 months down; 36 more months to go.I am sure that the real fun will begun for me as well. DH needs to have 2 knee replacement surgeries. I am looking at approximately $3-4k out of pocket expenses for each and I will be receiving an inheritance within the next 12 months that I am sure that the trustee will gobble up. Also, the bank that I work for is terminating 400 employees. But I wake up each morning and I am blessed to have a great family and good friends. Somehow everything will work out and someday this nightmare will end. Hang in there everyone, we will get through this.

Some days I don't think that this misery is going to end. Last month, my husbands springs in his car broke ($600) and now he needs his rear brakes replaced. I haven't figured out how to pay for that one yet. I just had a discussion with my husband this morning, that I am sick of thinking about money every second of every day. Only 14 more payments. I hope that we survive.

How I wish that all of our representatives and senators in the 2005 Congress who took the cc company payoffs and tinkered with a bankruptcy law that wasn't broken could be here to read this thread and others here to see the results of the horrors they created with their greed. All of us who filed Ch 13 after the law changed in October 2005 have been seriously compromised by not being able to use our actual income against our actual expenses on the B22C forms. I hope they are all happy to have chosen money over the emotional and physical health of all our families. (Having a crummy day myself today...sigh...having quite a pity party... )

Hang in there, everyone...thank God we're here to support each other! Let's all hope for much sunnier skies ahead.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Had one of those days yesterday. I just try to remind myself what I do have.

I have a great wife and two little boys that I love dearly.
I have a nice house in a safe neighborhood.
              I have my health.
              ............

When you look at it that way you can kind of rank where money comes in, and its usually last.
