The light at the end of the tunnel

Hope it is the train coming in- with my discharge.

Trustee website says 4 months left in plan. It shows that I have 2,354 in my plan base. But when I get over to the main page, it shows that I still have 6,254 to pay. I am not sure why the big difference, all of my claims are very close to what I thought they were. That is ok though, we will still be out of this thing by the end of the year by my calculations.

I am so tempted to get a payoff figure from the trustee and see if I have enough in my 401k to pay it off. I also have some unexpected money coming in the next few months that will be close to enough to pay it off, that is really tempting to me. Think I will probably end up just waiting it out though.

Arkie, you are our Ch 13 hero! You are so close to being done - don't take your 401K money out for an early payoff and then have to pay the awful 10% tax penalty on it the next year. You can make it without having to do that - hang in there! You are doing such a great job!

I agree with the others, you are so close. Please don't touch your 401k just to finish 4 months early. Choooo-Choooo....you can hear it now.

If you own your home you can refinance and buyout the remaining chapter 13. I use to do those all the time.

Maybe, but we just refinanced right before we filed, sometime in the year leading up to it. It put us right back at the original loan amount at the time, but at least our interest rate was reduced from 8.00 to the current 6.5 %. I am not sure but I doubt there is enough equity there to cover the $6000 it seems we still owe.
