I have a question for you great folks. We filed in April, had our 341 meeting in June, and were confirmed in early July. Today we received a letter from the National Arbitration Forum saying we an outstanding case with them. I'm contacting our attorney first thing Monday morning. I was just wondering if any of you had any idea of what could happen to the NAB for violating Chapter 13 law? Thanks.

Was the debt that the NAB is trying to administrate included in your Ch 13 creditors list? If it was, then the creditor should have notified their arbitrator and the NAB to stop arbitration attempts.Originally posted by snoman725 View PostToday we received a letter from the National Arbitration Forum saying we an outstanding case with them.
The NAB is not a creditor and they aren't trying to collect a debt - they just make sure that arbitration cases between creditors and debtors proceed smoothly. Your lawyer will know if this means that they can be held accountable for violating your stay or not (I'm thinking they can't).Last edited by lrprn; 09-08-2007, 11:58 AM.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
