    Signing Appt.

I dropped off my packet of information to my attorney today for them to start preparing the paperwork. My date for signing the papers is Oct. 9. They said the appt. would take 1 hour about. Anyone know why it might take so long?

They have to go over the entire plan with you and make sure you understand what you are signing. My plan is about 30 pages long and I had to sign in several places. Ask now about tax refunds so you won't have questions about it later. LOL

RRG is right. Also you want time to go down every single line on every single form to make sure that the accounts and amounts approximate what you expect and nothing has been accidentally forgotten.

When you sign on the dotted lines, you are swearing that the information is correct to the best of your knowledge. Take the time to review your forms thoroughly - don't just sign and assume all is well.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
