Cram downs are not done on the mortgage on a principal residence. I remember our attorney explaining that could not be done and I don't believe that changed under the new BK law effective in October 2005. You will continue to pay what you are paying per month to your mortgagor and the Chapter 13 Plan will include any arrears owed prior to the date of filing and the arrears paid to your mortgagor by the Trustee. Your mortgage payment may rise if your escrows (insurance and taxes) rise each year but that increase will not be part of the Chapter 13 and is your responsibility (as is any debt incurred after you file) so make sure you alot for those fluctuations._________________________________________
