what does this mean on pacer

I've been looking on pacer and saw "entry of appearence and request of notices" that one of the mtg company's (on the property I'm surrendering) had their atty file this. It states that the receipts to all notices be sent to the atty on the mtg companies behalf and copies sent to me.

I'm new to this bk and just really nervous about the whole thing. I think this seems pretty self explanatory, but I like to read in to things more than needed. I was wondering why something so simple would be listed on pacer. Am I worried for no reason?

The same thing is listed from our mortgage company and we aren't even surrending it. I THINK it means that they are requesting all future information regarding your BK to be mailed to them also. There's a list of all of the address' of your creditors and attorney and they automatically get information regarding your BK, like when your 341 is, when you are confirmed, etc.... Your mortgage company just wants to be on that list to get future correspondences.

Maybe someone here knows more about it.

busbis asked about "entry of appearence and request of notices".

This is a standard throughout court proceedings. Entry of appearance is just what it sounds like: The attorney is asking the court to recognize that he's there. He is basically telling the court who he is, who he represents, and what standing he or his client has for requesting information. The request of notices also is pretty basic. The attorney is asking the court to keep him informed (on behalf of his client) of any motions, memoranda, judgments, and etc. that appear before the court.

These are simply formal notices required by the court. The court does things by very logical, step by step procedures, and every step must be touched. No skipped points, no logic jumps. The thing to watch isn't so much WHAT is being done, here, but who is doing it, and why.

      I hope this helps.

It really means you had a creditor lurking around at your 341 meeting. It might have been a representative for one of the creditors and they are requesting they be notified of any events surrounding your case. Did you have any creditors ask questions?
