Have been watching for any signs of discharge coming on our final payment made DEC. on ch 13. all of a sudden plan current jumped $2000.00 more than plan base .was always a little higher but just went up . What could that mean? What is plan current opposed to plan base. & money on hand. Any help appreciated

A Ch 13 plan isn't discharged until the trustee's audit is completed. That can take 2-6 months after the last payment is made.
Sometimes during the discharge audit the amount of money owed can change. Did your lawyer tell you to stop making your monthly payments?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Yes the trustee office sent the court order to stop garnishment back in mid December when we reached the base plan amount. It's the" plan current" that is higher than the base & we don't know what it is.all this is on 13 network. We have not had our final dispursements made yet. No activity at all since Dec. Thanks

Sounds like you are in the audit phase where your trustee checks the books to ensure everyone received the monies they were due. Your lawyer could give you an idea of how long the final audit typically takes in cases like yours.Originally posted by pedsrn85 View PostWe have not had our final dispursements made yet.
