    another credit report ?

hi, i just wanted to ask some of the others here who have started cleaning up their credit a quick ?

i just printed a credit report for my husband and myself, as well as our credit scores. we both have mid 600 scores. but my ? is about and account showing on our reports. when we filed we didn't put our house in the plan, we have maintained our mortgage throughout of repayment. of course it was reported to the company that we were filing ch 13 but that we would continue to make payments. well when i look on the reports this account is showing that it was included in the bankruptcy and that it was discharged through this case on may 31, 07. this is not the case. so is this normal and if not how do i fix this. i thought that we may be a little better off credit wise because we have maintained this account so carefully for the last 3 years since filing. anyway thanks for any info.

The truth is it was part of your bankruptcy - look on your Matrix and you will see your mortgagor listed. The best thing to do is dispute it as being paid outside of your Chapter 13 plan. It all depends on your mortgagor. Some will change it back as to not being under BK but some are stubborn and leave it as being under BK. The discharge is incorrect. Definately dispute that and you may get lucky and have the entire BK listing removed. Ours shows as not being in BK as we basically ran into the same thing as you (first and second mortgages reported that way) but we disputed that the mortgage was not discharged in our BK and paid outside the Plan.

another ? several of our cc accounts are saying "status: Petition for ch 13 bankruptcy/account charged off. $3325 written off. $2809 past due as of apr. 08." can they do that, if not how do i fix it.
Why would some of our accounts that are part of our case be showing recent past due amounts. will they change when the case is discharged. i ask because we have made our final payment and expect the discharge within a few months.

Accounts included in bankruptcy should indicate that only. There should be no charge offs listed (unless they took place before the date of filing), no late payments listed (unless they took place before the date of filing) and no past due amounts listed. You can clearly dispute those items and have them changed. They may not change after the date of discharge and it's best to clean them up now or start to cause it can take a while. Make sure you check and work on all 3 of your credit reports cause all can list different things. It will take you a while to clean things up so don't be in a rush. We were discharged 8/06 and are still fighting with Equifax who has started listing dates way past our discharge date under "Date First Major Deliquency Was First Reported." We have dates listed as recent as 2007 under that. I have had to contact creditoirs directly on this one cause Equifax keeps saying the creditors are reporting directly even though that information is totally incorrect. This has been an issue with Equifax recently as I have found out I and my husband are not the only ones going through that.
