    What to do?

    Hello all,

I am in need of help. We filed for chapter 13 back in 2006. Things have been really hard with paying the trustee 2 morg payments and every day bills and living expenses. We want to refin our home. To get out of having two payments to one. We have adj which is our 2nd and our 1st is a 5 year arm. We can't make ends meat. I donot know what to do. I have tryed to get in contact with my lawyer but they WILL NOT RETURN CALLS. We are so upset. Can we refin our home? We would like to know how and if we can? Please if any one has any advice please let us know. Also we have also had to start paying my elderly grandmother bills too. Which leave us over every month. What are we to do? The only way to get out of this is to refin our home. We can go one like this. Please give any info. Thanks

Your atty has already done his job and will want more money to handle anything witht the trustee. Do you have enough equity in your home to refinance? Try contacting the trustees office for advise. Though this will take forever. You could also contact another atty or offer your guy more money usually from $700-$1200 more

None of us on here can tell you whether or not you are in a position to refinance your home without all your financial and Plan information. Your attorney can tell you whether or not you are in a position to be able to refinance. Call your attorney's office and get ahold of his assistant or paralegal or leave a detailed message on his/her voicemail as to what you want to do. Be brief and to the point. Chapter 13 is not easy for anyone. Does your attorney know you are also paying someone else's bills? Does your elderly grandmother receive any SS or other income that could be put toward her bills? Does she now live with you? Get ahold of your attorney who can advise you accordingly.
