Going to be out of work 2 months.

I lose my job and will be rehired with a new company two months later. During this time I will draw unemployment. I have a meeting with my attorney scheduled. I need to know what to expect and how to prepare. What are the chances the trustee will go along with a reduction or suspension of payments for this period?

That's up to your Trustee. Our Plan stated that we had to make Plan payments even in the event of a job loss. Your Plan is based on you being able to work during that time. Your attorney can correctly advise you as to your situation. It is possible your plan will be modified due to the income loss or, as you state, suspended until you start your new job. I am sure you will have to arm yourself with information about your job loss and the hiring date, etc. of your new job. You may need signed documents from both employers.
