Congrats Erin! A bummer it took so long to get confirmed I just knew mine was going to take a while and I just got a letter saying my plan was confirmed - 2 weeks early! go figure. Best of luck to the next 53 months!

Wow, I agree, YIKES!! That seems pretty high but it doesn't seem like you are freaking about it, you know your budget. Our attorney filed our case on Friday, I'm going in tomorrow to sign the payback plan but the figures we discussed last week sounded like it would be about $515 a month (which includes our two car payments). We actually qualified for a 7 based on the means test but because we could cram down our two car loans in the 13 as well as we wanted to keep our house (had to add the arrears amount to the plan) we opted for a 13, so there literally wasn't much left - I'm guessing creditor payback is less than 20%...

Congratulations - each month you pay is a month closer to discharge!

    Liz,

No problem. Best thing you can do is find a good lawyer that will give you a plan that gives you the best chance of success. Can't stress that enough. good luck!

No actually, it's only 56%. Both cars are included (that's about 900/mo). Lots of debt to be paid.... Our total income monthly is about 5300/mo take home.

    thanks!

    started a topic Confirmed....finally!!!

    Confirmed....finally!!!

I just wanted to pass along to you all that we are finally confirmed, a short 7 months after filing!

We ended up surrendering our home due to the large amt of negative equity and a declining neighborhood. We're still here, but looking to move within the next few months.

So $1923/mo for another 53 months and we're done!!

Thanks again. Although I don't post a whole lot, I am on here everyday. It's nice to have a place where I feel at home during this really stressful time.
