    Just a question...timeframe

    I filed on July 12th and I haven't heard anything since I got my car returned to me. I don't even know when my 341 is scheduled for and I don't know my case number... I am trying to be patient, but when should I hear something as far as that goes? I'm growing concerned because work is REALLY busy right now, and I don't want to have to ask for a day off a day in advance for the 341. I haven't called my attorney about this yet, because I know that he is super busy, but it's still bothering me.

    In my district, the courts are real busy and the 341 was 2 months from the date I filed, and it was probably 3-4 weeks from filing before I was contacted concerning my 341 date, but even then I had a month's notice. I understand work being busy, I had to take a half day off for my 341, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm sure you'll get your notice from the court soon with your date. Good luck!

    Plan Modified July 8, 2009 from $1100/month to $400/month due to change in income, finally discharged in July of 2013!

      You could always get a PACER account and get the information there. I think you need your case number to sign up for the 13DataCenter which is free. (Pacer is not free)

        That's what I want to do, but I don't even have a case number yet. I am really tempted to call and see if they'll give me my case number.

          Most BK's are filed electronically - they got your case number as soon as they filed your Petition. Since you only filed less than 5 business days ago, you will find out that legal wheels grind slowly and your meeting will usually be about 2 months or so from the date of filing. Your first Chapter 13 payment will be due 30 days after filing. You will be hearing from your attorney shortly. If you cannot wait a few more days, by all means call their office and ask for the information you need.

            I can wait. I am just all excited and nervous and ... can't really find a fitting word ... so it's making me more impatient than I would normally be. I can wait... I will know in time.

              I just filed on 7/4, and just got the initial paperwork back last week. BTW I was told by both my attorney and in the paperwork from the trustee that my first payment was due at the time I first received income after filing the plan, or 30 days after filing, whichever was EARLIER. I got paid on the 15th so had to send a payment within less than 2 weeks of filing.

                  i filed my 13 last tuesday and got my papers in the mail today with a 8-14-08 hearing date.
