Just need a few tips on how to get by.
This may seem like a no brainer but just looking for any advice.
I know its probably hard without our financial details but.......
    Thanks to all

Hi Sal: Yes, many of us are; certainly 'Hub and I are. I get my little PT pittance. 'Hub gets his SS and pittance of a *retirement* once a month. All of these come in at the end of the month. My Unemployment for my FT job is just about to run out at the end of this month. If I cannot get the 13 week extension, I do not know what we are going to do. I have an application in for a FT job that has become more than apparent that I WON'T get. I've got to go to a Temp agency or something. 'Hub has health issues and cannot work........

We are trying to sell trinkets on ebay to get by.

As much as I love and support 'Hub, I have to say that he projects a very sunny Pollyanna view of the universe. Meanwhile, my view is much darker......

God bless both of you. The wife and I are stressed beyond belief and cant see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We have a 5 month old son and I can only hope we can keep providing for him, forget about us, its about him.
The stress level is out of this world as im sure you know.
Just taking one day at a time....

Sal, It is important that you take care of youself and spouse first, in that, when you stay healthy, your child will be healthy. Trust me, kids pick up vibes. I remember my childhood well (although I don't remember things i just put down 2 minutes ago), and I used to know exactly what was going on at my age of five.

Regardless of Mrs. C stating I'm Pollyanna, we both do our best just to lean against each other and trust that all will work out. It always does. 'Hub

I can relate, sometimes life seems so unfair in that you have people starving and begging for food and then you have these rich people that have all this money stored away while everyone else suffers...I don't understand..and..oh...sports stars are the worst. They won't play for a team unless they get $100 million instead of $50, they just don't realize how blessed they are and that they have a GOD given, yes, GOD given talent. I saw Kathy...hmmm...a comedian on the television last night talking about how people thank God for winning awards and such....she was making fun and all but what she realizes is that all we have is from GOD..so I didn't find her very funny at all. What she said about Jesus at an awards show was simply to get attention so she could make more money. Although I am not the most straight and narrow christian I do know that Jesus says something to the effect of those that have least on this earth will have the most in Heaven. There are so many good people out there struggling to get by but they will receive their reward in Heaven.. AMEN...

I just vented elswewhere on this forum - but I'll carry on here - we had so many "disconnect" notices its pathetic. The utility companies won't take ANY payment arrangements and one time my light company, the bill was due on the 8th and I was late they send me a shut off notice - dated the 8th! I am utterly disgusted. I went to one of these financial management classes and it was a joke. They said these are your "fixed" expenses etc...but no one considers inflation!

Oh please, I don't even believe how we are making it. This week my husband had to carpol because we didn't have the money to put gas in the car. Thank GOD we have enough food that will last until his next pay check.
