Hello-
My creditors have until Oct to file claims. I am surprised that a few of my big names have not filed...anyone have any of the following NOT file claims?

MBNA/Bank of America
Chase
GE Money Loans

Don't hold your breath...Chase (the most aggressive from what I've read) will probably file on the last day...

Maybe you'll be lucky and no one will file!!!

There are many weeks between now and October, ccgirl. Creditors often wait until the last minute to file their claims, so you have no choice but to wait it out.

Sorry to say there's no way to tell ahead of time who will file claims and who won't in Ch 13. Whether your creditors filed claims in other Ch 13s has no bearing on whether these same creditors will file claims for YOUR Ch 13. They either will or they won't.

Keep in mind that whoever files or doesn't file claims truly doesn't matter to you - your Ch 13 payment will remain the same whether all or half your creditors make claims. Now if you are in a 100% payback plan, then having fewer creditors get payments may shorten your Ch 13. Otherwise, you're in it for the five years no matter what.

Right now your time is best spent fine-tuning a realistic family budget. That's something you can completely control and it will make surviving Ch 13 much more likely. Hang in there - glad things are going so well for you so far!
