Last question of the night ...

My Chapter 13 was just filed last week and my 341 meeting isn't until Oct 17. If I can muster up cash to pay the debt I owe that is listed in the Chapter 13, can I pay that amount at the 341 meeting and begin the discharge process or vacate the Chapter 13 altogether?

I filed the Chapter 13 to stay the sale of my foreclosed home.

My attorney isn't very responsive, so thought I would ask here.

    Thanks.

No offense meant, but if you can come up with the cash to pay off all of your debt listed in the 13, then why haven't you brought your mortgage current instead, and tried to file 7 if possible?

Never mind. I just found out why in another one of your posts. It would be helpful if you kept all of your related questions, info in one post, rather than scattered in different posts. Just some advice to help you get answers to your questions. If people get the whole picture in one post, they'll be able to better respond. Good luck!

You can't have your cake and eat it too. But you can dip your finger in the bowl and lick the icing

Unfortunately, no matter what you do in your situation you still filed BK. That BK will be on your credit reports for 7 years from filing and be public record for the rest of your life.
