    You do have a complicated mess on your hands and you keep mentioning "assistant" throughout your posting...where the heck is the attorney? Your situation is very complicated and involves the IRS. Since you are in in BK with all this I suggest since you are so confused as to this to contact your attorney and request to sit down with him/her to find out exactly what is going on and what, if anything, further needs to be done. You retained your attorney when you filed to represent you and it appears he has responded to the IRS and is handling things. If you are unsatisfied with what is going on, you can either sit down with him/her and get a full explanation or file a complaint with your State Bar Association about your attorney and explain the situation to them.

    As to your request to any attorneys on here, most legitimate attorneys don't spend their time in free forums online giving free legal advice. Any advice you get on here may or may not benefit you or apply to you. Read the disclaimers and protect yourself.
