    Credit report and Ch 13

I am halfway through my Ch 13 payment plan. I have recently started checking my credit report again and I see that several of the credit cards are still showing me as 90 days+ delinquent AND still show me as having a balance. Can they continue to report me as delinquent when they were included in my plan? Can I dispute it so they stop reporting me as delinquent or sent to collections or do I have to wait until I'm completely discharged?

You can, if you want, start to clean up during your Chapter 13 but there is no guarantee that once you get things cleaned up before your discharge that they will remain "cleaned up." We pulled our credit reports about half way also through our plan and it was a mess - took us about six months to get all three CRA's to have everything corrected to that point. When we pulled our reports a year later, the majority of them were back at the original incorrect listing. I would suggest that unless you really need to clean up your reports for some good reason that if you can wait until your Plan is over and discharged, it might save you a lot of hassle and wasted time. Your credit is bad from your filing anyway and unless you have some reason to apply for credit during your plan, it is not going to make much of a difference. This is just my experience with going through all this during a Chapter 13.
