My boyfriend recently moved in with me and my lawyer is using his income and expenses as well to figure out my DMI. Can I tell my lawyer not to use his info and that "he moved out". I know this is wrong but truly he does not want to be involved with my mess and realistically this has put such a strain on us that i think it's very likely he won't be living with me much longer. My boyfriend doesn't make a lot but he doesn't really have debts so my DMI is half made up of what he should contribute ($800 of $1500) but realistically then he would be paying more of the bills for a household where he doesn't even own the house or anything in it.

abouttofile - remember, your Bk filing is based on what is happening financially at the moment, not what MAY happen next month. Be open and honest with your attorney; do not hide a thing. If your BF moves out then inform your attorney as to the change of circumstances wherein your plan could be modified for the loss of income. Best of luck to you._________________________________________

No way should your financial future be based on something so uncertain as him continuing to live with you and contributing.
