How long for discharge?

I just received my letter of completion and I called the attorney and he said he didn't know how long it would take for my discharge. We need a new car terribly and have been patiently waiting. I was hoping you guys had some insight on how long it may take to get my dishcarge letter?

Just wanted to add the letter said no less than 120 days but this is not what my Trustee's office had told me last month. They said 4 to 6 weeks after my letter.

First of all, a big CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! on successfully finishing your Ch 13!! Way to go!!

What your trustee's letter stated (3-4 months) has been more typical recently given the court overloads at the moment. Your 13 trustee has to do an audit to ensure all payments have been made appropriately through the life of your plan. Hopefully your trustee's staff are very efficient and will get the job done in the promised 4-6 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's the shorter timeframe!
