Average days between signing & filing

We are signing our Ch13 petition 11/23. Can we expect that our petition will be filed by the end of this month, or within 4 business days? We are not familiar with how much additional work there is for the attorney in order to get the petition filed after we've signed it.

I would think that if the petition doesn't get filed until December, then the trustee payment would be due in the beginning of January and then the December mortgage payment would be rolled into the plan. Am I on the right track?

Did your attorney or the office paralegal give you an idea of when your case will be filed when you were there for the forms signing? If not, then contact your attorney by phone or email and ask what is your expected filing date.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

      We haven't signed yet.

I should re-phrase the question as, "How many days did it take your attorney to file your BK after you signed the petition?"
