    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
    10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
    01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
    06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !
    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
    Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

      Because of this suggestion, I posted a thread also asking for recommendations to be PM-ed to me. Yet, I was scolded for this by a BKF moderator and my thread was closed. Sorry to hi-jack your thread, Maxwell. I am just wondering if someone can clarify the rules for me. I, like Maxwell, am a BKF newbie.

      Good luck finding a good lawyer Maxwell; I am not located near you.

        Contemplate and Max: This site is up at some costs. It is supported by these Google adds (ad nauseum). In the event a member gives support to a lawyer, that is only their opinion. It opens this forum to a legal liability if an unknown lawyer damages another as a spin off of unwarranted recommendation.

        I cannot answer why a request for a PM would be an infraction. All Mods I know advise to keep personal messages personal. There is no liability in that.

        There have been times when we all have posted things that were in error or sounded like we had an off day. This could have been what you saw. Let it pass as an error. 'Hub

          Too many rules on here to tell you the truth.

          My advice is this.

          Call your local State Bar Association, and ask them for a lawyer referral.

          Tell them you want a attorney who is a board certified specialist in bankruptcy law.

          That should yield a fairly decent result.
