I read on some of the threads about getting a credit card judgement before being able to file chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy. If your are planning to file shortly does it really matter if a judgement is awarded or not.

Judgement matter?

It's best to avoid a dischargeable judgment (for ex, criminal judgments are not dischargeable) before filing if possible. It's easier and cleaner. Otherwise when your 13 is finally over in 3 to 5 long years, you then have to go back to court to get the judgment removed. Why create that hassle and cost for yourself if you don't have to?Originally posted by Keithh1632 View PostI read on some of the threads about getting a credit card judgement before being able to file chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy.
