Another Pacer Question

Need to ask you very helpful people another question!!

On Pacer it says the Total Amount Allowed for claims is $0.00. (unsecured claims $90,036 and secured $377,853).

What does it mean total amount allowed is $0.00?

You have to keep in mind that PACER exists for the bk courts, trustees, and bk lawyers. It's not intended to be a way for consumer filers to keep track of the amounts owed in their cases. We get to see PACER because it's a government site and as US citizens, our tax dollars pay for it

PACER is only as accurate as the trustee's office staff makes it. Some trustee offices get behind posting case data to PACER or leave odd things there because they don't impact the accounting in your case until that part of your payments becomes more relevant. What you see on PACER regarding dollar amounts can be misleading.

A better way to keep track of your Ch 13 dollar "ins and outs" (if your trustee participates) is to use 13DataCenter https://www.13datacenter.com/data/home_debtors.asp or 13Network http://www.13network.com/. Remember though even these may not be 100% up-to-date sometimes or have oddities in what you might see there too, they are more reliable for tracking dollar amounts than PACER.

Thanks! My trustee has not posted anything to 13datacenter - I have been looking for awhile now. I will give the other website a shot.

I went to their website that explains everything and it looks as though I would have to register and set up an account. Now that I have filed, I am debating whether it would be worth it. I realize having access to information might cause more confusion than it would be worth.

Apres Moi, I disagree about it causing confusion. It is a way to see what is going on with your case up to that day. Before you even receive notice in the mail. If you have questions, you should feel free to ask. Yes you do have to register for an account. It costs 8 cents per page to view your case. Also, if you ever need documents from your case, for any reason, you can download them from there.
