Collection call 5 months after being confirmed

I just got a message from a collection agency. It is one that I never heard of or had any dealings with prior to my filing. I was confirmed back in 12/09....so what do i do? Ignore them? Contact them with my case number or pass the info to my attorney? I have no idea what the debt is for or if it was a debt that sold to this agency.

Call your lawyer first and ask for advice about what to do about this situation.

If the debt isn't yours, then the company has no right to contact you, bk or no. You need to find out if the company can prove the debt is yours. But ask your lawyer first if he/she will do that for you or if it's ok for you to do it. Good luck!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Thank you. After searching the agency they do collections for a company I never had dealings. Their calls are getting annoying I will call the attorney today.
