    Social Security as income

    Hi
Wondering if I can list SS payments in my income schedule in a Ch13 or Ch7? I know this income doesn't get listed as part of Means Test income so I'm wondering if it is not allowed as source of income there can it be in schedules?
    TIA

Social security does not count as income on the Means Test when filing Ch 13. See http://www.uscourts.gov/FederalCourt...Chapter13.aspx, scroll down to Notes 1. at the bottom of the page.

However, your social security income can be still be used to help fund a Ch 13 plan. See http://bankruptcy.findlaw.com/bankru...-eligible.html

    Confusing, I know
