I have sent the mortgage modification paperwork to my mortgage servicer before filing but may have to hurry and file before hearing from them to avoid judgments. "I noticed this program on the Middle District website. Anyone know much about it? I plan on stripping my 2nd mortgage but would like to modify the 1st rather than surrender. Problem is, my 1st is already under 31 % (just under) but wonder if the terms can be modified since I probably wouldn't keep the home unless it could be converted to a fixed. Anyone know if this could be accomplished through the mediation?"
