auto loan deficiency showing as charge off

Hi all! First off, my wife and I have successfully completed our 4 year chapter 13 case and received the discharge last month, so all of you out there in the same situation please know that you can get through it!

Next, had a question about our credit report. We are trying to qualify for a home loan, and something is showing on our credit report. We had 2 vehicles that we included in our chapter 13, that we surrendered after filing. Both had deficiency balances but I believe they were considered filly satisfied according to th bk documents. Neither lender filed a proof of claim. No on our credit report one of the lenders is showing that deficiency balance as a charge off. Can they do this? My understanding is that it would show as part of the bankruptcy. I know something is not right, as we received a notice to be included in a class action lawsuit against this lender just a month or 2 ago

Any secured debt included in your bankruptcy where you surrendered the asset as a part of your filing should show as IIB (included in bankruptcy). Have you disputed this yet? Is the same 'charge off' designation showing up on all three credit agency credit reports?

A big congrats and a high-five for successfully completing your 13 - way to go!
