Is it possible to start a business when I'm in Chapter 13?

Is there a legal way for me to start a business while I'm in a chapter 13? I'm hoping I can keep the business finances separate from my personal finances. I will not be borrowing money in order to get started.

My plan will be to reinvest any revenue back into the business, but it may not be immediate, so there will be cash reserves the business will use for expenses.

I hope my question makes sense.

    Thanks in advance!

With the usual warning that you should run the question by your attorney, I don't see any reason why you can't start a business if you won't incur debt to do so. Just remember that if it eventually results in an increase in income you should let your attorney know in case it needs to be reported to your trustee.

$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
