    Just curious

Do your creditors find out how much income you have when you file? Do they know which bk your gonna file?

    #2
Your creditors receive a 1 page notice of your bankruptcy that will tell them what Chapter you filed. That notice does not include your income. But, your creditors or anyone else can review your entire petition at the court or on Pacer. It is all public record. So, if somebody wants to know your income, they can find out.

A creditor who knows how much money a debtor in bankruptcy earns can do nothing with that information. In a Chapter 7, all eligible debt is discharged and done with forever, and in a Chapter 13, the creditors will receive only what they are scheduled to receive. Any balance will be discharged at the conclusion of the Chapter 13 payment plan.
Creditors have no recourse following bankruptcy. That is the law of the land.
