And did you carry any positive reporting tradelines thru the BK with you. Mortgage?? Auto Loan?? Those will help as well.
Your score will take a hit from the BK. But then your score will rebound somewhat from the debt load you've been carrying disappearing.
Paying payments right up to the time you file vs having to go a while skipping payments before you filed has an impact.
How long you've had credit overall. If you've had credit for years and years with lots of "Closed. Paid as Agreed." accts prior to some unexpected event beyond your control happening that threw your finances into disarray.
Lots of factors impact any one individual person's score.
The biggest thing you can do to help yourself out is to sign up with a Credit Monitoring service and work on cleaning up inaccuracies in your Credit Report.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
