    Any Bankruptcy Friendly Lenders?

We are just about a year into our 5 year Chapter 13. Our insurance dropped us because we need a new roof. So we are scrambling on how to come up with the money to replace. I know we will need trustee approval for any new debt, but is anyone aware of anywhere that would lend?

It is "possible" to receive loans while in a Chapter 13. You could try USBank since they have programs for those in bankruptcy. Of course, your credit still needs to be decent (probably above 620) and you can have absolutely no lates on your report since filing, no late payments to the Trustee. As you know, after qualifying you'll need Trustee (and/or Court) approval to actually close the loan.

Do you have equity in your home? Also, you must have insurance if there is an underlying mortgage on the home. Otherwise, you will end up with force placed insurance which is probably at least 2-3 times more expensive than what you were paying.
